How to "De-Skunk" Your Dog
contributed by Doug McGuire
The magic mixture is:
- 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 teaspoon liquid soap
Mix together, thoroughly scrub mixture into dog's coat and let stand five minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
This recipe works like a charm. Also, at 3% strength (ordinary drugstore variety), the
peroxide will not affect coat color - no bleaching effect at all.
